In 1983, while still a student at art college, he began exhibiting copperplate engravings and drawings. He has been vigorously exhibiting his works as a creator, and at the same time, he has been communicating his position in words, and now his activities have expanded to the Internet.
He will talk frankly about his way of being as a creator. Please enjoy conversation with Mr. Hayashi over a cup of tea.

< A Cross Section of the Tea Party >

The opening tea party started at 11:00. After the greeting and introduction by the moderator (Yamashita), Mr. Hayashi, as an "artist" who has continued to communicate not only through pictures but also through words, put aside the slides he had prepared and moved his chair to talk closer to the participants for the time being. The story of "Painter Road" began as he traced his childhood memories of why he became a "painter" and how he became one.

In the summer of his second year of high school, he began studying painting in earnest, and despite his father's opposition, he took the entrance exam to an art university and failed. This bitter experience led to the background of his current activities... It was the moment when the idea that "in order to make money from painting, He has to expand it" was born.
Later, he was unable to gain recognition from his professors at art school and wondered if he was allowed to be a painter. Just as he was thinking that he was ready to call it quits on his career as an artist, he received an award, and his career as an artist began to open up smoothly.

Next, the topic shifted to the details of creating artwork, for example, starting work without a draft, stopping to draw before the image becomes repetitive, and continuing to draw only when one is in the same state of mind and can concentrate on the work. Quickly responding to pointed questions from the participants during the talk, the one and a half hour talk ended without using any of the prepared slides.

The participants were not satisfied with the end of the talk without seeing the slides, so Mr. Hayashi explained the method of spreading his works on the Internet, which he has been promoting for the past five years. Specifically, he has been using Pinterest, Tumblr, Instagram, and Twitter to aggressively enter the digital world, which continues to expand at a tremendous pace, and we were happy to hear the ending news that the effects of his efforts are beginning to bud.
