In the face of catastrophes beyond human understanding, such as the Great East Japan Earthquake and the nuclear power plant accident, I feel compelled to ask myself, "What is the power of my art?
Even in the midst of depressed days, warm food, warm rooms, and warm baths that uplift our spirits and give us courage and energy will surely soak into our hard bodies. And even when we are depressed and beaten down, the entertainment that brings music, stories, and laughter that can reach anyone's ears will soak into our hard hearts. Such a powerful person is a wonderful thing.

　The power of a picture is the power of powerlessness. It is a small mirror that faces a solitary person. Facing it alone, we can share the peace of mind that the artist has arrived at in his one-man search for creation. What is told is connected only when it is questioned by the viewer. When each of us faces the other, there it is. I believe that I am not helpless.

In my 20s, I traveled around the country with my works to art galleries. I wanted to know directly whether there was a destination for my works. I was and still am embarrassed to visit galleries to find out what I don't know.

I am in my 50s now, facing a computer to continue to deliver my works as my profession. Although we may look different, our thoughts are the same. Even if it is a minor theme that is not popular, if it is important, creativity is what allows it to exist properly now, and I wish to continue working for that purpose.

In recent years, I have been exhibiting my work in group shows and art fairs globally, as well as sharing my work and ideas online through social networking sites such as Tumblr and pinterest. He has more than 27,000 followers.

Through the Little Christmas - Small Prints exhibition, we continue to explore new forms of individual collaboration with galleries across the country and artists of all generations.
　While the foundation of the collection is based on the production of relatively small works to be displayed in private homes, the public collection also includes more than 100 works donated or deposited to 22 institutions in 5 countries.
