Since my twenties, I have loved the mystical paintings of the Pre-Raphaelites of the late 19th century and the Belgian Symbolists. And I myself have painted motifs and figures such as water, mirrors, and veils.
I feel that the starting point of my paintings is to escape from reality.
I wanted to escape from the troublesome reality and immerse myself in my favorite world. That was my starting point.

However, the reality changed to the extremely realistic life of marriage, childbirth, and child-rearing. However, in the midst of these surrealistic daily repetitions, I began to feel the budding of another emotion within me. It was motherhood, family, and love for my children.
I wanted to paint people, not just motifs of paintings, with love, while looking into the spiritual world deep in my heart, not just to escape reality. That is what I have come to think.
