NAGAOKA Kazumi / SUGIURA Mariko

Artland Gallery is pleased to present a two-person exhibition featuring NAGAOKA Kazumi and SUGIURA Mariko, on view from May 30 (Sat) through June 21 (Sun), 2026.

Nagaoka Kazumi creates organic terracotta sculptures that quietly evoke layers of time and fragments of memory. Sugiura Mariko reconstructs paper materials discarded in everyday life, generating new values and landscapes. While differing in material and method, both artists engage with notions of time and regeneration, and their works resonate as they move between reality and its periphery.

This exhibition presents recent works by both artists, offering insight into their current practices while reflecting the trajectories that have shaped their work. Their distinct yet interconnected worlds unfold in dialogue within a shared space.
