Miyajima Yuuk: Comment

I paint and also create prints. The paper for my tableau works often comes from materials like rice bags. My main motifs are living creatures and landscapes, through which I aim to explore human emotions and trace memories in my art.

Miyajima Yuuka: A Brief Biography

Born in Fukushima Prefecture in 1985. Graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Printmaking Course, at the Women's College of Fine Arts in 2009. Held solo exhibitions at Yanagisawa Gallery and ondo gallery in 2023, and at Juniko Museum of Art in 2022.
Received the runner-up prize at the Tone Yamamitsu Memorial Grand Prize Exhibition in 2018. Won the grand prize in the HB Gallery File Competition vol.27 in 2016, and a special prize in the HB Gallery File Competition vol.26 in 2015. Works are collected by the Women's College of Fine Arts Museum, Juniko Museum of Art, and Kanuma Municipal Kawakami Sumio Museum of Art.
