Takagi Toshihiro Message

I have been living in Tokyo for over 40 years now, but for the past five years, I have spent much of my time in Kurashiki (Tamashima). While I used to predominantly express abstract themes based on familiar materials, living in my hometown has sparked a profound interest in depicting Tamashima as my original landscape. I am also deeply drawn to the town's atmosphere, where the sea and rivers are naturally present, and the rich expressions on the water's surface.
